The Baby Signs^® Early Childhood Educator (ECE) Training gives caregivers and early childhood education centers the ability to identify needs, wants, and feelings of children before they have developed the motor skills necessary for verbal communication. These workshops are based on the work of Dr. Acredolo and Dr. Goodwyn, authors of BABY SIGNS: How to Talk With Your Baby Before Your Baby Can Talk, and is supported by over 20 years of research. A Certified Instructor will come to your center to present the training and teach caregivers how to use the resource materials.

The training incorporates how the teachers can use the Baby Signs^® Program to address the areas of cognitive, physical, social, emotional, and language development within their current curriculum.Your staff will learn the WHAT, WHY, WHEN, and HOW of the Baby Signs® Program. Teachers will learn about the research behind the program, why it works, when to start, and how to choose and teach signs.

All centers who undergo the ECE Training will get a Classroom Kit tailored to their needs. All classroom kits will include at least the following –

	•	First Fun Signs and More Fun Signs cloth books
	•	5 Quick Reference Guides
	•	Parent Kit

	•	Welcome to the Baby Signs® Program DVD (contains 100- sign/word dictionary)

Note: The training will be in English and supplemented with Cantonese, where required. Materials currently available are in English.
